Moving to ION IT

A practical plan for changing provider, with your services and continuity in mind.

Changing supplier starts with understanding what is already in place. We agree the scope and sequence before making changes.

1. Understand your current services

List the services you want to move, existing contract end dates and the accounts or suppliers involved. Do not send passwords through an enquiry form.

2. Agree the scope and costs

Your quotation should identify what is included, migration work, equipment, licences and any separate charges. Confirm notice periods with your existing providers.

3. Plan the change

Agree access, responsibilities, dates and any maintenance window. Where appropriate, plan checks, backups and a way to recover if the change cannot be completed.

4. Check the result

Check the services that matter: calls, mail, connectivity and access. End old services only when the relevant transfer and dependencies have been confirmed.

What are you moving?

  • Broadband: availability, installation and migration dates.
  • Phones: number eligibility, porting and call routing.
  • Email: mailbox data, DNS and user access.
  • IT support: covered systems, documentation and authorised access.

Will there be downtime?

Some changes require an interruption. We will discuss the expected impact and timing before the work is agreed; a seamless move cannot be promised for every service.
