Identify the systems and data that matter, how much recent work you could afford to lose and how quickly you need to recover. The agreed design should specify backup scope, retention, recovery testing and who checks failed jobs.
Questions before you start
Is cloud synchronisation a backup?
Not by itself. Deletions and unwanted changes can synchronise too. Recovery needs a suitable retained copy and a tested way to restore it.
